JERRY HALL – The First Face of ANGEL and Mugler Muse
The first ‘face’ of ANGEL was Jerry Hall, aka today as Mrs. Mick Jagger. Hall was Mugler’s Muse back in the 1990’s–personifying his ideal woman as an angel and a leather wearing femme fatale.
Mugler is well known for his use of leather as a ‘fetish’ material in his fashions.
Whether you loved or loathed his clothes, Mugler couldn’t be ignored. Mugler’s inspiration came from his interpretation of the ultimate femme fatales: Hollywood starlets, vamps vixens. For Mugler, the woman who could cross the line between divine vision and drag queen was Jerry Hall. Throughout the 1970’s, ’80, and ’90’s Mugler kept to his own path, presenting collections as a mix of fetishism, glamour and sexiness.
His ANGEL perfume has been a best seller for a decades, but Thierry Mugler has also been designing unforgettable dresses for legendary women since the early 1990’s.
